FAQ

Can you dual wield in Rogue Blight?
The official description confirms one-handed weapons and an item in each hand, but it does not define every interaction players may mean by dual wield.
Can a Shield go in the right hand?
No. The official Steam description says Shields can only be equipped in the left hand.

Evidence status: Verified official rules; pairing recommendations are intentionally withheld. Last checked: September 8, 2026.

What does each weapon family tell you?

The official material establishes the four families, but it does not publish a complete release-build stat table or a trustworthy ranking. Treat the family as the start of a comparison, then inspect the item and skill shown in your current run.

  • Swords: confirmed as a weapon family. Reach, speed, and damage comparisons still require release-build testing.
  • Daggers: confirmed as a weapon family. Attack-speed, status, and ideal off-hand claims remain unverified.
  • Wands: confirmed as a weapon family. Spell behavior, resource costs, and scaling need weapon-by-weapon evidence.
  • Shields: confirmed as a left-hand-only family. Block values, directional behavior, and pairing performance are not documented here yet.

How should you compare two items safely?

  1. Confirm that the item can occupy the intended hand; a Shield must be on the left.
  2. Read both weapon skills in the current game version.
  3. Check whether you can use both skills reliably with your available resources.
  4. Compare the pairing in the same area against the same enemy type.
  5. Record the game version before treating the result as reusable advice.

This is an editorial testing method, not a claim about hidden game calculations.

What is not verified yet?

  • A complete list of all 50-plus weapons and their release-build values.
  • Exact stat scaling, skill costs, drop sources, and unlock conditions.
  • Whether every non-Shield family can be placed in either hand without exceptions.
  • Best weapon pairings, build tiers, or difficulty-specific recommendations.
  • Detailed Shield direction, parry timing, and damage-reduction behavior.

These gaps require current-version in-game captures or tightly scoped public gameplay evidence. Competitor lists do not close the gap.
